A6 Quattro Transmission Coding

We have a 2002 Audi A6 Quattro 3.0 automatic. Vin is WAULT64B62NY38Y80 that has a failed transmission ECU. WE have purchased a new ECU that needs to be coded. Can the X-431 be used to accomplish this and if so what is the procedure. What is the code that needs to be input into the new ECU. There was no communication with the old ECU due to water damage. Thanks for the help.

Hey can anybody help me with the fault code descriptions on the x431 or direct me to the proper site for help with the same. The current code I need help with is AF SEN1 HTR(B2)

i was missing mercedes vito software,the seller couldnt get it for me,but i found it at: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/ and works just great.

i have recived this x431 gx from china,and have been using it for months now without any problem..last month i asked the seller for uppdated software and i get a download link-works great!


i did also order a super 16 from the same company and recived i yesterday? cost me 177us dollar

I am trying to clear an airbag light on a 2005 Mazda 3 (Axela). The car hit a pothole and the light came on.....
I have never used the X431 on this vhicle before and it is posing to be a nusiance.
With the CAN II connector I can be intimate with some of the computers and I and.... the SRS option does not show
the Vehicle ID # ZY28ED000 is what I got during the intorragation......
Could anybody help

the dealer code belongs to the seller..they register youre machine with this.
you should have a piece of paper which you tear open to reveal youre smartbox number and secret password..these are what you need to log into site to upgrade youre machine.
providing they have registered it for you already with the dealer code that you have..you cannot do this.

Well I,ll be d**ned,,, after all my emails I got a reply from the rep for the Asian group of Launch dealers,,,, he sent me the dealer code,,,, as yet the scanners havent been registered with launch,,, (Ithink the dealer has to do that when he sells it) so things have started to move,,, lets see what happens from here.

What do I need.... I have the Serial number and the dealer code,,, what else is needed

x431 bought overseas are not supported by any legal launch u.k agent or leagal overseas seller ..update site and legitimate sellers sites detail this.youre only option is to look on ebay for youre updates,dodgy updates for a dodgy machine i,m afraid.
i dont think any launch dealer could help unless they sold you a machine from them as they wont have any dealings with youre units as they arent leagal ones,either to update them or for future repairs .

friend,,,, i,m in the same boat,,, I bought two x431 machines from launch taiwan,,, they arrived without a dealer code,,, I cant update them at all,,,,, money wasted as far as I can see,,,, what a pity,, such a good machine,,, such poor people selling them. Shame on you launch

Hope this is in the right board, so here goes.
I bought two x431 scanners from launch Taiwan thru there manager mr Judge,,, money past hands, goods arrived in good condition, unpacked and searched for S/N and dealer code. NOT THERE. Contacted launch Taiwan again and to this day have never recieved a reply email. cc,ed the email to other launch distributors around the world for help,,, and was basically told tuff luck because Taiwan is the originating dealer and anyone else cant help. Great,,,, now I,ve got two scanners and no dealer codes,,, soon they,ll need updated,,,, what does one do,,, This Mr Judge seems to have slipped of the planet or he,s deleteing his emails,,,,, I cant find out who is the top gun at launch Taiwan, so I assume he,s either sold these out the back door and pocketed the money oir bought them from a pirate company and passed them of as originals,,,, LAUNCH dont seem to be interested in investigateing this issue. Pity as there a good scanner and I often get asked to comment on what scanners to buy in our Franchise group of 35 companies. Can someone throw some light on this problem please.

try contacting the seller you bought it from.if they are a genuine agent it will be covered under warranty but this doesnt sound like so.lol
they can be bought seperately but are unique to the copyright software on the card and in the smartbox itself so you may end up in the same situation yoou are already in.

Hi, I have a problem and hope you /someone can help. Can a smart box be purchased separately.
My X431 never ever worked from the day it arrived. It would not talk to the cars, would do everything else but would not communicate. Very Very frustrating.
Help would be appreciated.

do you not have any access to any data books for code descriptions??
do a search on google to point yourself in the right direction to help cure youre fault..have you tried having a look at the vehicle?

what car...year??..etc.
some modules can have the fault codes cleared after detonation...but not many..usually they need to be replaced or reprogrammed which is a bit of a grey area for reliability in the event of another crash as to whether it will work again.lol

you may need the super 16 lead?? have you had a look in the tested vehicles section to see if it is covered and what lead you need.
